PAROL!: Inmates Interview

L’ultimo video del progetto europeo PAROL! – Scrittura e Arti oltre le mura, oltre i confini – è interamente dedicato alla viva voce dei detenuti del carcere di Saluzzo (Cuneo) che dopo avere partecipato a laboratori di lettura ad alta voce, scrittura creativa, poesia Haiku, Haibun, ceramica, Raku, danza e teatro, raccontano come le loro vite sono state arricchite da queste incursioni creative. The latest video of European project PAROL! – Writing and Art beyond walls, beyond borders – is devoted to the voices of the inmates of Saluzzo prison (Cuneo, Italy) telling how their lives have been enriched by participating in creative activities including reading aloud, creative writing, Haiku poetry, Haibun, ceramics, Raku, dance and theatre. In the newest video of European project PAROL! – Writing and Art beyond walls, beyond borders – we see the inmates of “Rodolfo Morandi” jail in Saluzzo (Cuneo, Italy) engage in a ceramics and raku workshop, discovering that a balance between curves and angles must be seeked in the matter just like within ourselves.

The international partners of European Project PAROL! meet the prisoners of the “Rodolfo Morandi” jail in Saluzzo (Cuneo).

PAROL! – writing and art beyond walls, beyond borders – wants to establish creative connections between the prison system and society, promoting values of integration and citizenship. A double direction of social responsibility: from prisoners to society, from society to prisoners.

In Italy the project involves the house of detention “Rodolfo Morandi” in Saluzzo (Cuneo) and the prison “Lorusso-Cutugno” in Turin with laboratories of Reading aloud, Creative Writing, Haiku Poetry, Haibun, Ceramics, Raku, Dance – Theater.
