This work comes from observation, which led to a series of questions. Can art (dance) break down the walls that divide us?
During moments of celebration it seems like it can. But what if we took dance into everyday life, for example asking people to dance in the street while going to work, to the grocery store, on a date, etc.?
Una presenza che si avverte costantemente a Kreuzberg è questa sensazione rivoluzionaria e di lotta per la libertà e la voglia di convivere pacificamente. Questo lavoro nasce dall’osservazione, che ha portato ad una serie di domande. Può l’arte (la danza) abbattere i muri che ci dividono?
Durante i momenti di festa sembra proprio di sì. E se portassimo la danza nella vita di tutti i giorni, se per esempio chiedessi alla gente di ballare per strada mentre va al lavoro, a fare la spesa, si reca ad un appuntamento, etc.?
